It’s 2015, everybody. People are eager to find the next shitstorm and sometimes, the most random act of kindness can create exactly the oppisite – a lovestorm. Just a few weeks ago, an employee of Aldi in the United Kingdom experienced exactly this.

When a senior citizen bought his grocery’s at the local store, the young employee walked him home and carried his stuff. Overwhelmed by this act of kindness, another person took a photo and published it on Facebook. It went viral.

Aldi as a company hadn’t anything to do with it, but still they were associated with it. Because of their employee, who did something that – at this time – wasn’t very common.

It’s one of the basic rules of marketing, now ever more relevant in the digital age: Your business is only as good as the employees you choose. They can create a shitstorm, or lovestorm.
